Happy New Year to all our swimmers and their families. Lessons at Neptune are now in full swing and we have welcomed lots of new faces to our programme.
The biggest change to Neptune in 2020 is coming soon with the introduction of our new progress tracking system “Swimphony”. Neptune has been using Course Pro for the last 6 years but we have recently run into lots of problems with our teachers not being able to effectively grade swimmers' progress and parents unable to access the home portal system.
The new software will also add a huge amount of benefits to you as parents such as:
- A more advanced tracking system so you can see what your child needs to work on;
- The ability to change days, classes and venues as you need to via an online learning system - this will be turned on shortly;
- You will be able to see all your payments to Neptune as part of the Member Hub;
- You will be able to let teachers know your child is absent - this will then update on the teachers registers;
- You can send messages to Steph directly, via the system;
- You will be able to obtain updates from the teachers regarding events like lifesaving weeks as part of the Member Hub;
- You can book crash courses online via the new system;
- You can add children to the waiting list for specific classes;
- And eventually - add additional siblings to the new system via the Member Hub
- Plus lots more that we haven't used yet!
This is undoubtedly the biggest change to our Swim School in a very long time. Steph has been working hard over the Christmas period to learn the ins and outs of this system and we are now ready to start adding children. This does mean that you will be getting 2 emails from our new system KINETIC COURSES.
- An email to let you set up your Member Hub - this will give you access to the new course progress system. We will be asking all teachers to start using the system towards the end of Jan 2020 Therefore, there will be a slight discrepancy with grading whilst we move over to the new system. Once you login to the Members Hub, please check that all your details are correct. So we are able to contact you about your child's swimming lessons.
- An Email confirming payment successful emails. These will change over the coming weeks as we get people to set up their Direct Debit payments through the Swimphoney Software. We ask you to ignore these emails until you get further information about how to set up your Direct Debit on the Members Hub. If we are experiencing any problems with your Direct Debit payments Steph will contact you separately.
Once we get your Direct Debit set up on the Members Hub, we will be canceling your Direct Debit with GoCardless. Swimphoney Still uses Gocardless to collect payments. however, the collection process is slightly different than our current set up.
We are really looking forward to these changes and the new system going online. We are hoping it will become fully active on the 1st of Feb 2020 and we will keep parents up-to-date on this progress as we go. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me
