Orca - Equivalent to Stage 6 and 7
Our Orca swim class is tailored to offer advanced training for children who have completed the Dolphins criteria, aiming to enhance their skills for pre-competitive swimming. Each session spans 30 minutes, with a maximum of 8 children per teacher. The Orca's class is structured into two stages, focusing on refining advanced swimming techniques, increasing endurance, and reinforcing the fundamental aspects of competitive swimming.
Throughout the classes, children receive comprehensive instruction on all four competitive swimming strokes, with a strong emphasis on perfecting the technique for each stroke. Additionally, they will gain an understanding of the regulations governing the sport of swimming and will be expected to adhere to these rules for each stroke.
As the children progress, they will be introduced to race starts, turns, and finishes, and when appropriate, will incorporate diving into their swims. They will also continue to develop proficiency in other swimming disciplines such as water polo. Our objective is to provide a focused and stimulating environment for children to master their swimming abilities, while also instilling the fundamentals of competitive swimming to pave the way for club-level participation.
