Swim School House Keeping

No photos or videos

Photography or video recording is strictly prohibited during all swimming lessons at Neptune to ensure the safety of our swimmers and staff. Customers found taking photos or videos during lessons will be required to delete them immediately. Repeated violations may result in being asked to leave the swim school.

Arriving late to lessons

It is essential for children to arrive on time for their swimming lessons to gain the full benefit. While we understand that delays can sometimes occur due to circumstances beyond your control, swimmers who arrive more than 10 minutes late may be denied entry to the pool. Consistently late arrivals may result in contact from our office to discuss and potentially offer more suitable class times.

Food and Drink on poolside/changing rooms

We kindly ask all customers to refrain from bringing food or drink into the changing rooms or poolside areas. Swimmers may bring a leak-proof bottle of water to the poolside, but fizzy drinks and energy drinks are not permitted.

Use of changing areas

Children under 8 years old must be changed before and after swimming lessons in the designated changing room areas, as changing on the poolside is not permitted. This policy is in place to ensure the safety and comfort of all customers and staff. If a child requires assistance with changing or drying, they must use the changing room that corresponds to the gender of the assisting adult. Once children are over 8 years old or able to change independently, they should use the changing room that matches their own gender.

Spectators guidance

Due to the limited space on our poolside areas, we kindly ask that, where possible, only one adult accompanies each child to lessons. We also remind parents and guardians that any siblings present as spectators remain their responsibility and should remain seated quietly without disrupting lessons. Ongoing disruptions on the poolside can negatively impact the teachers' ability to deliver lessons effectively.

For customers at First Step Gym ONLY: Please ensure that children do not climb on the steps or enter the sauna area.

Sickness guidance

Please see below for guidance on common illnesses’ and whether your child should attend lessons. If in doubt please send a message through the hub

Illness Advise
Sickness & Dihorrea Children should not attend lessons until they have been symptom-free for 48 hours.
Chicken Pox Children should not attend lessons until all spots have fully dried and scabbed over

Scarlet Fever Swimmers should not attend lessons until antibiotics have finished
Head Lice Children can continue to swim - long hair must be tied back
Varucas Children can continue to swim but may wish to wear appropriate footwear while on the poolside or in the changing rooms. Veruca socks are not needed
