The Hydrotherapy pool is 7 metres long by 3 metres wide and has a series of wide steps to enter the pool, it has a constant depth of 1.35 metres. The water temperature is kept at a constant 33°C, which is perfect for teaching swimming to children and babies.
Venue Specific Guidance
Access to the Venue
Stourvirew Hydrotherapy Pool can be found as part of the Stourview daycare center and can be accessed via the community entrance.
The pool can be accessed by the buzzer phone system to the right-hand side of the door.
Parking
There is ample of free parking opposite the facility.
Changing Area’s
The changing area is divided into male and female-specific changes.
Changing space is limited so please keep bodies in this area to a minimum and observe the correct gender-changing area for the adult, not the child.
A small selection of changing mats are available for parent and baby lessons , this can be asked for at the reception desk.
Poolside / Viewing Area
Lessons can be viewed from the poolside for this site. There is a small amount of seating available.
Due to limited space and to provide a more pleasant environment we request that a maximum of 2 adults accompany 1 child.
Footwear in the changing rooms/poolside
No footwear is permitted on Poolside.
Customers can leave their shoes in the reception areas or use blue overshoes provided.
Nappy Bins
Yellow bins - All parent and baby swimmers please unsure that disposable swim nappies are placed in the yellow bins, not general waste bins

General Rules Here at Neptune
Appropriate Swim Wear
Please ensure your child attends lessons wearing appropriate swimwear.
Swim shorts that are below the knee and bikinis are not allowed to be worn and may result in your child being unable to participate in lessons
Changing Room Use
Please note that once children are aged 8+ must use the correct gender-changing area.
Parents must ensure they are using the correct gender-changing area for them, not the child. This is due to adults changing for parent and baby lessons
Swim hats & goggles
Please observe that for all children aged 3yrs +, swim hats must be worn to lessons.
This is to aid in providing a hygienic swimming environment and to keep hair out of children's faces.
Goggles are at the discretion of the parent
Photography
Photography during swimming lessons is strictly prohibited.
If your child has a class teddy or homework that requires a photo of them at swimming, please contact the class teacher at the start of the lessons and we will arrange for a photo to be taken in a quiet section of the pool.
Sickness Policy
We politely ask all customers to refrain from bringing their children to swimming lessons if they have had sickness and or diarrhea in the last 48 hours.
Children with chickenpox are not permitted to swim until all spots have dried up
