The first question to ask yourself when looking at buying goggles, is “will they help my child learn to swim?”
For some children they are happy wearing goggles and it helps them to develop confidence in the water. For other children, it can cause more problems than it is worth to wear them. They spend so much time, taking the goggles on and off or adjusting them, that by the time they are correctly fitted the lesson is over!
So the first question to always ask is “do they need them and will they help?”
If the answer is "yes". Then it is time to start looking at the correct style and type of goggles and making sure that they fit correctly.
How to make sure the goggles fit?
The key area to focus on are around the eyes and over the bridge of the nose.
Gently press the goggles to your eyes without the strap around the head.
You should experience a brief level of suction that hold the goggles to the child's face.
