Disability Family Swimming

Our Disability Family Swim has been created specially for families where either a child or adult has any additional needs. Be this a physical disability or an educational need.  

Sessions are 45 minutes long and open exclusively to family groups with children of any age. Hoists are available so the pool really is accessible for everyone no matter what your ability. We have reduced numbers in the pool (compared to our Family and Under 5's Swims) and we only have one session running at any one time meaning the pool and changing facilities are naturally quieter than bigger leisure centres. The music is turned down but we still have our sensory lighting and pool toys and floats to allow your whole family to make the most of their swimming. 

 The added benefit our our hydrotherapy pool is that the warm water is relaxing and can reduce pain and allow those with more physical disabilities to move more freely than they would do on land. If the sessions are used regularly muscles can increase in strength which may aid mobility once you're out of the water too.

If you're coming to the pool more than once a month then our Community Membership can help you save money every time you swim. Community Membership allows you to attend as many sessions as you like and pay our members' only rate, saving up to 33% on our standard pay-as-you-swim rates. Our Community Membership is a single annual payment of £40 which then gives you access discounted ticket price for all of our Under 5's, Family and Disability Family Swims. You'll also have access to Private Hire and our special members' only sessions.
