We recently informed all Monday swimmers on our plans for lessons throughout April/May due to Easter Holidays and Bank holidays. Here is a reminder. Please note this effects ALL Monday Swimmers
As we approach the end of the term and with the Easter holidays on the horizon, we would like to inform all our Monday swimmers about our lesson schedule for April. Since Easter Monday falls outside the school holidays, Monday swimmers will only have one lesson in April. Additionally, there is a bank holiday on May 5th. To ensure all swimmers receive their full quota of lessons throughout the year, we have scheduled replacement sessions.
No Swimming on the Following Dates:
Replacement Sessions for the Bank Holidays:
We understand that this may not be the ideal solution, but we are committed to ensuring that all swimmers receive their full 40 weeks of lessons throughout the year. We will send email and text reminders closer to the time for these schedule changes.
Crash course lessons are back this Easter at Starfish Hydro Pool! Join Tilly & Hannah for a 4 day crash course, the perfect introduction for new swimmers or for existing swimmers to practice their skills during the break. Running from Monday 14th April - Thursday 17th April, swimmers will have 1 30 minute lesson per day and is the perfect opportunity to ditch the screens and stay active.

We recently informed Tuesday Starfish Hydro swimmers of a small change to their timetable from the Easter Holidays. Here is a reminder. Please note this only effects Starfish Hydro Pool Swimmers from 3.30pm onwards, all other lessons remain unaffected
We are writing to inform you of a small adjustment to your swimming lesson schedule after the Easter holidays.
Due to ongoing issues during the transition from school sessions to public swimming, we have decided to move all Tuesday swimming lessons back by 15 minutes. This change will allow school children adequate time to exit the premises before our customers arrive.
New class times (effective from Tuesday, 22nd April 2025):
We appreciate your understanding and hope this adjustment will not cause too much inconvenience. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Please be reminded that there will be a small increase in fee’s for all swimmers from 1st May

We would like to take this opportunity to advise customers that as we enter exam season there may be an increase in the number of cover teachers during this time. We endeavour to let customers know in advance of any changes but sometimes this isnt possible. Rest assured that all our teachers are super if you do have a cover teacher your swimmers will still have a great lesson
We would like to welcome our 2 new trainee teachers, Alexis & Jay to the team. Alexis joins Lewis on a Saturday at Octopus and Jay Joins our Tuesday team at First Step and our Sunday evening team at Starfish! Alexis and Jay will spend the next few weeks learning the basics of lessons with Neptune before progressing to take their full swimming teachers qualification
A recent study by Swim England has shown that more than 70% of children are being taken out of lessons before they have learnt key skills that would mean they are safe in the water. Importance becomes placed on alternative activities once children can jump in and put their face in the water, leading to a false sense of competence for parents. Keeping children in lessons for longer not only provides them with great health benefits, it ensures that all key skills are being met to be competent if they ever find themselves in difficult situations.
