What is a typical day like at Stourview Hydrotherapy Pool?
Every day is different at the pool! As Operations Manager I could be welcoming customers, attending a community event, organising staff and building rotas, or completing stock takes and ordering products and so much more!
What is your favourite part of your role?
I love chatting to all of our clients at the pool and seeing their fitness progress. Whether it's your first visit to us or you're a regular customer I aim to give every single person a warm Neptune welcome!
Why should more people come and use Stourview Hydrotherapy Pool?
Our pool is the ideal place to rehabilitate from ailments and injuries, whether they are constant niggles or sports injuries, come along and we’ll try and help your recovery.
What would you say are the benefits of hydrotherapy?
Having suffered numerous injuries through my sport, the benefits of hydrotherapy have been fantastic for me. From improving the speed of recovery from sports injuries to managing ongoing conditions to improving your mental health, hydrotherapy really has so many positives! Every day I enjoying seeing first-hand the wide ranging benefits hydrotherapy can bring to our customers.
What would you say to people starting out on their hydrotherapy journey?
To do a minimum of 30 minutes exercise per day is very important for my own wellbeing, I therefore strive to encourage others of all abilities “to do something”, whether it be going for a walk or a 45 minute Hydro-cise class in our pool. As the saying goes, “Every little helps!
When you are not at work what do you do to unwind?
I’m a British Triathlon Coach. I coach all three disciplines with emphasis on Strength & Conditioning. If I’m not running, I’m cycling, if I’m not cycling, I’m swimming!
